Even in high-quality pine shavings, there is a chance for mold and fungi to be present depending on how it was packed and stored (we recommend buying pine shavings in paper bags, as these are less likely to trap mold). Adding Aqua-Dee to your flock's water source is a preventive measure to protect them from the presence of mold and fungi, as it may not always be obviously noticeable. 

Vitamin D can also be beneficial in other areas, especially when it comes to rickets, swollen joints, malformed bones, and soft beaks. Rickets is common amoung young meat birds, and early intervention is key to keep your poultry healthy and strong.
